Excitement.
In my experience, more dog fights and attacks are caused by frantic over-excited puppies and dogs...than any other state of mind.

Dogs...especially really fast dogs, who bomb around frantically, jumping on people and other dogs, will get constantly warned by other dogs...especially the more dominant or nervous dogs.

The simple truth is...this kind of dog is seen as disrespectful.

Here's the equation.
Frantic dog = equals warnings from other dogs
Frantic dog who doesn't listen to warnings = attack
Frantic dog (with dominance) who gets warned or attacked = will retaliate and cause a fight.

Solution.
Control the level of excitement
Correct frantic behaviour
Choose the right dogs to play with (submissive ones)
